The transiting North Node will be in Capricorn until about March 2, 2011. It’s a time to focus on being practical, getting out in the world, working hard, building a reputation, and being ambitious. The inclination will be to stick with the familiar, stay close to home, do what feels safe, and protect vulnerabilities. The nodal axis provides an apt description of what most people in the US are feeling right now with the current economic climate. Combined with transiting Saturn in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn, it is most definitely time to get serious.
The NN in Capricorn will be in my 5th house until September 2010. It seems like this will be a good window of time to work on making a business out of a hobby. This is a good time for me to take hobbies seriously. I can take my talent in caring (Cancer) for groups (11th house) and mesh it with taking an interest (5th house) seriously (Capricorn). The area of no-growth for me is in sticking to familiar (Cancer) goals and dreams (11th house) and not stretching myself be creative (5th house) and work hard (Capricorn). It’s also an ideal time to strike out on my own rather than to seek safety in numbers.
